Who writes and reviews
Policy-watch articles are written and reviewed by Christian Tanner and say so in the byline. Library guides are written by the Nava Media team from direct campaign experience and reviewed by Christian. Each byline links to his author page, which lists every article he has written and reviewed. We use research and writing software, including AI assistants, to work faster; a named person is responsible for every published word and every correction.
How we source facts
- Every statistic links inline to its primary source: the agency, the rule, the platform's own documentation, or a named newsroom.
- Every article ends with a References list in the same order the sources appear.
- Numbers from our own client work are labeled as ours. We do not publish invented statistics, and where the honest answer is a range, we give the range.
- We do not cite competitor agencies, lead aggregators or anonymous blogs as sources.
Statements and examples
Quoted statements come from the named person and are attributed with their role. Scenarios, such as a family member searching on a lunch break, are illustrative composites, not real patients or clients. We make no promises about outcomes, rankings or admissions.
Dates and updates
Each article shows its published date and, when it changes, an updated date. The updated date moves only when the content changes. The whole library is re-reviewed every quarter, and any guide made inaccurate by a change at Google, Meta, LegitScript or a regulator is corrected or withdrawn.
Corrections
If you see an error, tell us through the contact page. We check the claim against the source, fix it if it is wrong, and update the article's date.
What the Playbook is not
The Census Playbook is educational content for treatment center operators and marketers. It is not clinical guidance and it is not legal or compliance advice. If you or someone you love needs help now, call or text the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or visit findtreatment.gov.
